I am sure that the idea of Jio was not just to
bring justice to the citizens of India by bringing into control the prices of
data services offered by the various telecom industries in India.
I have read a lot of answers thanking Mukesh
Ambani for this service. It is too early for us to praise him. He is a business
man. The more business mindset a person has, the lesser he will care for the
publics, unless he really has a heart of gold. Any product or service launched
by him is not for the people, it is for the profits, or something he feels is
worth more than money. Like your personal information.
Do you remember giving your Aadhaar number
while you registered for the Jio service? What if I tell that the Aadhaar
number is not supposed to be disclosed to anyone? And when you linked your
Aadhar with the Jio, all your personal details are disclosed to the company.
The company now knows more about you but what they plan to do with that
information is something I don’t know.
Before Jio there was too much player in the
market. Now, they are not even having that much telecom player in the market.
No businessman would miss out on an opportunity to knock money off people’s
head. Only some player would be left in the competition after this year. Jio
would have a huge market share. Airtel would too be in the market. But other
companies? Mukesh Ambani is not so careless to invest so much money in a
telecom company for just doing service for us. It means the return he expects
is more than investment he made.
Azim Premji (Chairman of Wipro) gives 15% of his total wealth to
charity.
Bill Gates gave 95% of his wealth for charity
purposes.
This comparison was not to compare the amount
of wealth they give out to charity. This is just to show you that Mukesh Ambani
is not a kind of person who do business for people’s welfare.

Beware guys
ReplyDeleteThe article is written for awareness purpose for the all jio user.
DeleteKnowledgable article, Jio company, on of the most reputated company has had to be deal with a number of ethical complaints against it. They are just concern for their profits. These days their recharge plans shows their reality.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you and it's clear with the new trends in the telecom industry now a days .
DeleteVery informative , I came to know more about jio and it's practice
ReplyDeleteThe reason why i have taken jio because now a days everyone is using jio sim. They are having large number of customers and I want each of their customer should know how jio has earned money from them. At initial stage of jio, they were giving everything for free but when they get good market share, they started charging for everything.
Deletevery informative article, i too strongly believe that the point deciphered in the article that "the more bussiness mindset a person has the little he will care for people" is very rightly said.
ReplyDeleteYa every business man see profit first, Mukesh Ambani is a business man. The more business mindset a person has, the lesser he will care for the publics, unless he really has a heart of gold. And most importantly no businessman would miss out on an opportunity to knock money off people’s head.
DeleteWhat would be the 0.4% of Mukesh ambani personal wealth that he gives in charity
ReplyDelete0.4% of Mukesh Ambani personal wealth he gives to charicty is around 60 lacks. Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's salary in 2018-19 was Rs 15 crore, unchanged for the eleventh consecutive years, while the remuneration of the other whole-time directors increased, according to the annual report of the conglomerate.
DeleteExcellent information , I came to know more about jio and it's practice
ReplyDeleteWhat are the negative impacts of using Jio?
ReplyDeletePeople are now more addicted to internet. I see people watching youtube, JIO TV, Hotstar at home, when they are still at home with TV on.
DeleteAs the JIO is providing its services at low cost(This was free for half the year, now they are charging Rs. 599 for 3 months, which is also relative free compared pre-JIO services), everybody is able to use internet and free calls now. I feel this is making them addicted to internet and free stuff. Once JIO comes up with charges for every month, I don’t think many people who are using JIO won’t be able to afford the rates and this might lead to people going into depression(liek any other addictions). this might have huge impact on people later.
What positive impact has Jio had on the Indian economy?
ReplyDeletePositive impacts are following:-
Delete1)Cheaper data leads to more internet user consequently more revenue.
2)More internet user leads to more digital transactions.
3)Less corruption.
4)More citizen centric govt.
5)More citizen involvent through digital india, ekranti and egovernance plan.
6)More digital process leads to less expenditure.
7)Easy advertisement of product. Less expenditure hence cheaper product.
8)High speed internet at cheaper cost leads to drop in inflation rate
What are the negative impact has Jio had on the Indian economy?
ReplyDeleteThe neagtive impact Jio had on the Indian economy are:-
Delete>Drop in revenue of other operators hence no new employment.
>Trend of Predatory pricing .
>Aadhar usage increased hence breach of privacy.
>More chance of fraud through digital ways.
>Tech sevy generation , less interested in outdoor sports hence less selling of sports items.
>Deteriorating health condition due to less physical work.
>Higher chance of radiation Effect.
>Longer call duration leads to hearing disability.
How they are doing unethical business practices,it is mandatory for a telecom company to have a ID proof of the customers with them?
ReplyDeleteIf you disagree with my statement, think about this. Why did Jio stress to have the Aadhar card details of the individuals, where some other identification like passport, Driving License, etc. could have sufficed them?
DeleteHow has life changed after Jio in India?
ReplyDeleteJio has transformed the way, people use Internet. Earlier, we used to have a Gig of Internet, in which we could complete a Month’s usage. Now, 1.5 GB per day seems less. It ends so fast (Of course, 4G Speeds). But, there is other side to this as well. I have noticed this, I don’t know other people have noticed this or not.Since Internet is so cheap now, a whole lot of people have come online now (including some idiots). These people abuse Girls over Instagram, Spam their inbox on Facebook and say all sorts of vulgar stuff to them (without even thinking once). This was not the case earlier. Also, after Jio came in, YouTube is flooded with both, Users as well as Creators. The trending section is full of useless videos. There are so many new Tech Channels which don’t have original or new content, just re-upload videos. Not just Tech, Vine Channels too. And now when I comment on any YouTube video, these people promote their channel by replying to my comment - “Please Check or Subscribe my Channel. You Sub me, I Sub you”
DeleteBut in a larger view, Of course Jio’s entry has been of a major benefit to all of us.
Is he doing right for the humanity by giving only 0.4% of his personal wealth.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Mukesh Ambani is doing anything wrong because it is his decision whether he want to give his some percentage of wealth or whether he don't give no money for humanity. It is not compulsory that he have to donate money for humanity purpose.
DeleteWas it unethical of Jio to slash prices at an extreme rate to blow away all the competition in India?
ReplyDeleteWe have two options. Less Turnover - More Profit OR More Turnover - Less Profit. I have limited resources and manpower for my business plus I have certain ‘Technical Abilities' which others don't have and hence I am going for first option.
DeleteIf you have viewed Mukesh Ambani's Jio launch speech, you will remember that he said Data is New Oil. They foresaw what others failed to see and it took more than 5 years to build infrastructure before they launched Jio.Scale of Economics is the fundamental of Jio. If they want to go for Second Option and are proven right, who are we to brag about their low price. Naturally a business man will ensure that Competitors bleed and he / she will go to any extent without hurting their bottom line to do so.
Reliance Jio started charging six paise/minutes to their customers. What are your views on this?
ReplyDelete6 paisa per minute is not a big deal but.How did jio survive without this from the date of jio launch? This IUC charge is always there. Is this the end of jio free era.? Now everyone is adict of internet and free calls so customer should be ready for pay for internet too.Why did jio announced that if customer get recharged before 10th Oct , this charge is waived off but same is not applicable for jio postpaid user. ?If jio can offer free IUC charge for those customer, why not for all?
DeleteHow come other telecom companies are not complaining to Competition Commission of India (CCI) against Reliance Jio for disrupting pricing?
ReplyDeleteDisruptive pricing is one of the virtues expected in a competitive environment. Only collusive pricing can be complained against by the affected parties, eg. the consumers against the unfair profiteering possible in a collusive environment. It is also called cartelisation. The objectives of the competition act can be seen here, which is to prevent anti-competitive practices, attempts to monopolize and attempts at predatory pricing, which all work against the consumers ' interest. The only thing left for the competitors is to innovate on their business policy, especially pricing practices, and try to match or overtake the disruptive competition.
DeleteIt is the essential part of the game!
Yes Thought about it but it is very well explained by You .Being the world Biggest telecom firm reliance jio should act responsibly and be more considerate about their consumers.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the positive impacts of jio in India?
ReplyDeletePositive impact of jio in India are-
DeleteThe prices of the data has come down drastically.
The internet is available to common man at low cost.
People have become more aware of the technology.
People are able to share the information more through social networking now.
But, everything has both positives and negatives. In my opinion, the JIO has done or will do more damage to the people’s lives than the positives it has given.
What is the business model of jio?
ReplyDeleteReliance JIO as Startup Made this business Too big to fail. Wondering why:-
Delete1. Startup is Backed by Richest Indian Smart businessman Mukesh Ambani.
2. Business was started with a vision to bring Digital Revolution in Country and making hell lot of money out of it.
3. In 2010, non-compete agreement was expired, Mukesh Ambani bought 95% stake in Infotel Broadband which had won 4G spectrum in all sectors in India. Then JIO Took birth with Small Entity RANCORE.
4. Big data Analytics’ - with this launch, they will have access to tremendous data, closest to Government’s database of AADHAR cards.. You must have read E-Aadhar ID will help you connection activation in 15 Minute. Imagine they will have access of 100 Crore AADHAR IDs in few years. And this data is literally precious. Can become Alladin lamp).
5. You will become identified probable consumer for all RIL Business lines. Like Reliance Retail, Digital, Petrochemical, Rel FBB etc…
6. Being owners of Indian Internet Subscriber they can play big by collaborating with giants like Facebook or Google, Microsoft CISCO. Income Potientail is there in Digital Adervsting.
What is the marketing strategy you think that Jio is using?
ReplyDeleteMarketing is relevant only if core is strong. If you don't have a strong offering you can do as much branding and communication to no avail. To the best of my knowledge the magic is in the core offering I.e state of the art all India fiber optic network. We knew they are going to launch since 5 years. They spent all this time and ₹1.5 lac crs investment in building network and spectrum. That allows them to give high quality bandwidth. Hence voice is free and data is perceivedly priced cheaper. The world is moving from voice to data, more importantly to video. I personally feel it will be a mega success and they will be dominant player within 24 months.
DeleteYes I am very impressed with your essey . I know Mukesh Ambani is very clever. He knows how to make conjumiers
